Dreaming a new reality

Maybe one day we'll find the place where our dreams & reality collide

2016 was full of the "someday" for me but 2017 seems so full of the now, new ideas and plans, and instant manifestation of the dreams I've been dreaming. There has been an undeniable shift in my world and I am obsessed with the possibilities and the creating of new realities for myself, my family and my community.

I've had a thought percolating since April 2016 - a way to give back to the community in an ingenious way. Lately, it has become persistent. Nagging me to take action on it NOW. Materializing in dreams. Making my fingers itch, niggling my mind, and pulling at my heart. I give. I will do as is being requested - NOW.

While I'm not ready to divulge what these big plans are, I can bring you along into the magical space of creation. In this space anything is possible - the bigger the dream, the more excitement and possibility that exists. Truth be told, I can hardly stand this space in all the best ways. I want to do all the tasks NOW - it's a good space for me to hone skills in patience and balance - and I'm giving birth to newness.

Newness. After years stuck in between "not yet" and "no more", this feeling of newness is purely refreshing. I recently commented on a Facebook post by Martha Beck stating that I was done with existing in that in-between space & would declare 2017 as the year I was no longer fallow. She responded with her usual Martha enthusiasm and reminded me that the fallow period is crucial to the harvest. Wow - simple. Yet, I had missed it. Or, as I believe, it wasn't time for me to understand.

That little reminder has catapulted me into gratefulness and awareness. I've been making lists, setting goals, creating timelines and spending time everyday in gratitude. A few hours ago I ran across the term "social entrepreneurship" and it made me ZING! Yes, ZING! This is the term for what I'm about to do - it hits all the marks of importance for me and it makes my heart dance. It is right. It is time for the dream to become the reality.
